![]() ![]() Naturally, he's teleported away before I can be allowed to land any sort of finishing blow. A furious, axe-wielding one, but that's hardly the point. I'll be damned if I can make any sense out of it, quite possibly in the literal sense.Īnd on the sixth floor, I come across a kindred spirit. Incidentally, I found a yellow book titled the Necronomicon several floors ago. I believe there was one to a crypt too, which I am told contains a rune. Leads to some hall full of weapons (useless for me, for obvious reasons). Note the new gloves - heavily enchanted, and they appear to build upon my natural agility - the new decks, and the golden staircase. I must say, I was a good deal happier when giants only attempted to bash my skull in with a blunt object. Large, strong, resilient, wielding large flaming greatswords without fail, and flinging balls of flame at me on a routine basis. Or cast it into the infinite void between worlds. That, ladies and gentlemen, was quite possibly the third most dangerous type of dragon in existence. While blasts of poisonous, loathsome gas are hardly my favoured tactic, survival has long been a higher priority. He really is a rather generous sort, but then, I haven't exactly been stingy with the sacrifices, have I?Īnd here we have my new magical arsenal. Nemelex seemed to appreciate the gesture, at any rate. Hordes of bizarre creatures don't summon themselves, you know. ![]() Sorry about the worst update ever >_> Decisions? Should I keep the ring? Should I learn Mephitic Cloud? Should I put on a ring of Wizardry as soon as it would make Crystal Spear reliably castable?įirst to learn Orb of Destruction - which I would later find to be a rather underwhelming spell - and dispose of a deck. and I think there was a summoning deck (legendary) in there too. Lastly, I got another legendary deck of destruction or two. Also a ring that's a Fire ring (more a liability than anything, to an earth mage), gives berserk on evoke, a rank of life protection, and (I think) see invisible. Other stuff? Found a spellbook to learn Mephitic Cloud from. ![]() Which I stabbed in its sleep, and was originally going to have a "let's never speak of this again" from Meepo. Lots of fire giants, storm dragons, shifters turning into Death Drakes, and a giant orange brain. Skills are up to 12 Spellcasting (no food cost on Mystic Blast) and 15 earth magic/conjuration, I think, changing Meepo's title to Earth Mage. Crystal Spear is still on Very Poor, while Orb of Destruction is up to Great. Used Triple Draw twice on my Deck of Wonders, and Draw One three times on it, drawing Experience, Helix (which did nothing), XP, XP, XP, in that order, giving me 20k XP for spending on practice each time. Ok, pictures are clipped, I already deleted them off my computer, and Photobucket performed some bizarre voodoo rituals on what little I did upload. I don't know if about it's efficiency, but it's very funny to blast your ennemies to pieces with blood and chunks of meat everywhere. It might help with your book of annihilation.Ībout the book, I suggest that you learn Orb of Destruction. Unless you have a high armor skill, you'd probably try to switch to something else. Being elven just reduce the spellcasting penalty a bit, but I fear it's still much higher than a robe or a leather armor. In 0.6, with the AC/EV overhaul, there is no light/heavy armor anymore. I noticed you're wearing an elven chain mail. Also, speaking of OOTS, if you ever try an Hill Orc priest of Beogh, I suggest naming him redcloak and using the doll editor to have him wear one from the beggining.Īnd last, about meepo. ![]() But keep the focus on the storytelling and talk about the game mechanics only when it is relevant, interesting or funny. Have your char aware that he is in a game, and of the game rules. If you keep that for your next char, it's going to get old fast. But having your character get surprise at the monsters and dungeon is fun only once. First person story telling is awesome you should definitely keep that. You can also fiddle with the value until you find a smallest size that you are still comfortable to play with. Solution: play in a smaller window! In tiles_options.txt, uncomment the lines: One the other hand, resized screenshots make the text hard to read. Big screenshots are not very netbook friendly and eat your photobucket bandwith. I also got a few suggestions for the LP.įirst, a technical one. I've been spending the last few days catching up with this thread and I've been really enjoying the LP, and all the stories and tips from everybody. ![]()
